Holy Moly, I had a lot of requests for this one (most of them from the gifted barista Reggie). I like an iced coffee on a hot day. I also like to sing and I like to doodle. Doodlin’ away! Do you doodle?

Your requests for a Nick Cave song, and this one in particular, were loud and proud. I’ve always been reluctant to cover his music because it sounds so perfect as it is. What could we bring to it? Tim, RL and I tried some things and we came up with this. I hope you like it.

Many P³ers have asked me to try a song by The Cure. “Boys Don’t Cry” just jumped in my lap. I tried a little Bob Dylan style with harmonica. I’m not very good at harmonica playing but I like to try. Many P³ers asked me for a tribute to Chris Cornell. This song spoke to me. I asked my friend, and Atlanta Braves Organist, Matthew Kaminski to collaborate on it. I added a little “What’ll I Do” by Irving Berlin in there. Chris Cornell made some moving and intense music. I hope we did right by it.
